The 1-acre corner plot in Lutyen’s Delhi is blessed with 2 groves of existing trees, which are retained as the connecting axes of the new bungalow. KnowArch worked closely with Aakar Design Consultants Pvt. Ltd. to conceptualise the design of the house for a family of 3 generations. The entrance is a conservatory of existing and new trees & shrubs into which one disappears out of view from the road. The entry intervenes on axis with the existing grove to connect a large garden in the foreground. The bungalow combines two independent houses that interconnect through interesting moments of themed gardens and a swimming pool.
